Italy,
Tuscany,
Red wine with some evolution here, medium-deep ruby, but the colour appears a bit mature with a tawny rim. There’s some complexity on the nose as well, it feels more like a style that has got a long aging in oak, with some evolution, some dried fruity notes; cedar, tobacco, spices. Quite good grip on the palate here, it has a dense core of fruit, but the fruit is already quite rounded and sweet. I think there’s a good balance between that sweet fruitiness with still pronounced but ripe tannin, and a fresh acidity. It keeps lingering on the aftertaste, where the fruit is appearing a bit sweeter. So I would say it’s a nice wine that has got a good evolution, it offers a nice level of drinkability right now, a certain dose of complexity as well. Good level of drinkability, a certain complexity, well-balanced in terms of that sweet fruit with tannin and acidity. It should definitely go on in the cellar for many more years, but I would happily drink it already today.
