The Bacon Fairview – Anthony de Jager – 2013

Medium to deep ruby red. Nuanced nose with some evolution, dry spices, ginger, clove and pepper blending red and dark fruit, discreet wood. The palate is fairly dense with grainy tannin, a fresh backbone, finely peppery notes, juicy fruit, and a rather long, fresh finish. Balanced, classic and elegant style.
