So, a spirit again. This is a quite lighter colour, rather light, light-golden I would say. Defiantly with peat here, so certainly whisky. There is a slight hint of smokiness again. Not the most overt smokiness. A quite fine level of smokiness here. Fine spiciness here with some peppery notes. There is good oak again. Fine integration of wood. More wood than vanilla I would say. The fruitiness is still quite discreet with some hints of almond and hazelnut. Very distinct palate. This is very much what I would call an elegant style of whisky. It is peaty, it is gently smoky, but with very fine oak. Good proportions there. A lot of spiciness going on the finish. Alcohol feels well-integrated as well. Good quality oak and really long and persistence. I will re-taste it with just a tiny drop of water. Which normally opens it up just a little bit more. I like the grip in this one. This is very much the style of whisky I like to drink. It has the intensity, but it still doesn’t feel alcoholic or overly woody or overly smoky. So balanced and elegant.
