Italy,
Emilia Romagna,
Inky purple core and hue, with a lighter rim indicating maturity. Traditional nose with long oak ageing, blending black cherry, with leather, tobacco, vanilla, dry wood, and dried herbs. The palate shows layers and complexity, mature fruit, but no sweetness, remaining dry, a fresh acidity underneath, and long-aged, grainy tannin, crushed cherry and plum with a gentle sensation of new oak, a bit more "modern" on the palate with dense fruit, grainy tannin and a long warming finish.
