Inky dark core with a lighter rim. Still very youthful nose, inky black fruit, tar and liquorice. The palate is very dense but a soft extraction, fresh backbone with dark cherry and cassis flavours, integrated oak and a long muscular finish. Aromatically still closed and youthful but plenty of stuffing, weight and potential for development.
