Spain,
Castilla y Leon,
Red wine with a medium to deep ruby-red colour, still appearing youthful with a slight hint of blue-purple. Generous nose, combining some new oak with vanilla, dark plum and wild berry fruit. There is a slight spiciness there with some hints of leather and anise seed. Nice palate there, combining ripe fruit with a quite fresh acidity. It is already quite rounded and polished in terms of texture. So lush and mouth filling. With a ripe fruit but not a lot of extract or tannin present. There is still a hint of roasted oak though and a hint of herb, with a slight hint of coffee and vanilla. Well balanced, pleasurable. Quite an opulent style. It has good length, it has high ripeness. Feel a certain amount of alcohol on the finish. Good drinkability today with the potential to continue six to eight years.
