Inky dark core with a lighter rim. Pure nose of butterscotch, ripe dark fruit, cherry, plum, mild spices and liquorice. The palate is dense and youthful, still tight but no hard edges, a tannic presence, juicy dark fruit with cherry and kirsch notes, fairly rounded on the finish, good length and density.
