Veramonte – Ritual Pinot Noir – 2016

Medium deep ruby colour with a purple hue. Youthful nose but still layered with wild berry fruit, a touch of fine oak, tobacco and some meaty notes. Well-built palate, rather full but polished and fresh with smooth tannin, layers of red and darker fruit with a ginger/clove spiciness, finely integrated oak and a fresh bite on the finish. Long and lingering finish, more Burgundian style with nice proportions.
