Vigneti del Salento – Zolla – 2015

Dark purple colour. Modern nose of new oak, vanilla and jammed dark berries, hints of prune, dates and figs. The palate is off dry, more like a fortified wine with jammed fruit and warm alcohol, still noticeale oak, rather long but sweet finish. Probably attractive to some but rather sweet and oaky for me.
