Chile,
Cachapoal Valley,
Dark purple core with an aged, lighter rim. The nose is intense with some age and complexity displaying, cigar box, tobacco, sweet fruit like fig, plum and dried cherry, high ripeness and intensity. The palate is dense and powerful, just starting to open it feels, layered dark fruit with tobacco, sage and aniseed notes, a hint of roasted oak and ripe but intense tannin. Very long and grippy finish and an approaching complexity. A big wine, certainly needing its time.
