Italy,
Tuscany,
Red wine with a medium-deep ruby red colour. Quite intense nose, it has got some evolution here, more spicy notes with some hints of cedar wood, tobacco, a hint of leather. It feels more like on the traditional side, but at the same time the fruit is quite ripe. On the palate it’s rather full, with a good concentration of fruit. Both with elevated tannin and acidity, that gives a lift to that quite sweet fruit, almost like prune or stewed plum, with red berry and cherry notes. It certainly has the density of fruit, it has a good length as well. To me on the finish it appears a bit young, I would still like to see the tannins softening a bit more from an additional one to two years in the cellar; but from then on it should offer a nice drinking experience.
