Cachapoal Valley

Chile,
Cachapoal Valley,
Very inky colour black-purple impenetrable. Youthful nose, quite floral and spicy at the same time. I get fruity notes of dark plum, dark cherry, with some floral hints like violet. Then there are some herbal and leafy notes as well; like tea leaf, wild herbs. A gentle hint of oak. It is a medium weight. With a still youthful, there is a dense core of dark fruit, but the tannins already feel quite polished, soft and subtle and digest with juicy fruit, balanced acidity. On the finish, there is a nice pepperiness and spicy notes, with those dark plum flavours. Quite attractive for early drinking, even though it will develop over the following two to three years.
