Viña Las Perdices – Icono Malbec – 2013

Dark purple core. Smoky and roasted nose (yet not too much) fine oak, espresso, cassis and blackberry. The palate is dense and concentrated, high extract but no hard edges, still some roasted and oak flavours on the palate, plentiful fruit, ground spices and pepper with a ripe, long and dense finish. A big and bold wine still needing time to settle but certainly with potential.
