Cachapoal Valley

Chile,
Cachapoal Valley,
Very inky core here. High colour intensity. A fresh nose with a lot of crushed berry fruit, like cassis, dark berry, cherry, discreet oak and a gentle herbal spiciness, like a tea leaf. Good grip on the palate. A bit more than medium weight. Quite a high extract, but I should say, integrated. I feel the tannin, but they are not overwhelming in any way. Juicy black currant fruit there, some plum notes. Good level of freshness. Long finish, it really keeps going. It combines on the finish, that black currant fruit with some fresh herbs in there. Quite a digest style of wine that is perfectly drinkable now. Doubtlessly has a concentration to go on for another few years.
