Chile,
Wine of Chile,
Very dark and inky colour, black-purple core. Youthful nose, intense with dark fruity notes; like cassis, plum, some liquorice and dried spices. Palate is quite full-bodied with dense texture of dark, inky fruit. Quite rounded in terms of texture. Quite mellow tannin but still adding a lift to the taste. Some notes of chocolate powder, white pepper. Slight hint of oak, the finish is slightly sweeter, like really sweet cassis notes. Quite long and lingering finish. Nicely made. Still a bit youthful, but for the attractive young and dark fruit. It is pretty drinkable now, but I would say it should definitely gain a bit more nuance and harmony from a few more years in the cellar.
