Israel,
Judean Hills,
A deep coloured red wine, still very youthful in appearance, with a blue-purple tinge. Intense nose, I like the purity of fruit here. No oak really evident, more like fresh, wild crushed, wild berries in here; some blackberry, plum and mild spiciness. Really nice palate as well, really packed with dark fruit, but it has a rather subtle texture, not a lot of tannin, more on that soft, juicy, dark, fruity side; with notes of blackberry, plum, with a slight hint of spiciness. I don’t pick up any oak on the taste either. Nicely mellow and rounded finish, with a quite long persistence as well. Really juicy, friendly and drinkable wine. Approachable today, yet with a concentration to be aged for another few more years.
