Chile,
Colchagua Valley,
Very inky core, dark almost opaque, slightly lighter on the rim. Intense nose. Very dark, fruity. With predominantly cassis. With some aromatic herbs there, slight touch of mint, sage, sweet plum. This has a certain evolution. It is not really very young. There is some more spicy, leathery notes entering this stage. Quite full and quite polished as well. So it seems it has a few years to it, opening up. So quite mellow tannin, polished with that dark, floral, violet, cassis, plum fruit. A little bit of oak, in the background, but not overtly so. So a bit more than medium weight. Quite long finish. A wine with a good drinkability today.
