Austria,
Wiener Wein,
Red wine with a quite dense colour. It has some evolution on the rim. Dark ruby-red, but quite black core. The nose is still pretty much on the young side, mainly with primary fruit, dark fruit such as plum, cassis. No noticeable oak. Feels a bit more cool and restrained, but still with ripeness. I think the palate confirms the nose. It feels like a quite cool and restrained style, with ripe dark fruit, some redcurrant. There is a slight hint of herbal spiciness and a touch of aromatic herbs. It is a bit more than medium weight, but not much fuller. It has a good degree of fresh acidity, particularly ripe tannins. To me it seems well-balanced with good proportions. Still youthful and a bit unresolved, but it should drink pretty well from today and onwards. It should continue to develop over the coming six to eight years or something in that direction.
