Moderately deep colour, ruby-red. Some more age on the rim, toward tawny. Quite intense nose. Rather on the floral side. With notes of crushed berries, plum, rose petal, some orange zest. Quite aromatic actually, almost like some grapey notes, like fresh grapes. The palate is on the lighter side here, so quite light weight with a high acidity. Moderate tannin, still with a presence of tannin on the mid-palate. So very ripe red fruit, more like ripe red currant, cranberry, with that presence of orange zest, ginger. There is a slight hint of oak but not really noticeable on the palate. So a lighter style of wine, more towards Pinot Noir stylistically. Still a bit youthful and restrained, it should develop nicely and gain some more roundness and harmony.
