Germany,
Rheingau,
Very pale colour here, youthful with a green hue. Pure nose. Very nice purity here. In terms of fruit, it starts out quite restrained. There is a clear notion of minerality. So quite stony with fresh lemon, fresh lime. There are some herbal notes. Then the fruit is rather a white flesh like white peach, pear. Really distinct palate here, bone-dry with a crisp acidity. Really bright and salivating. In terms of structure, it is quite slim, but it has a good grip. I like the extract in here because it fills your mouth well without being too opulent so nice extract and that sensation of minerality. Again this is a wine with an emphasis on length rather than breadth. So it really has a good length and finish. It is still in its infancy, so I mean a really youthful wine. It might appear a bit austere for anyone not use to drinking this style of wine. I really like it for its purity and for its distinct freshness, for its length. Doubtlessly a wine that should continue to develop for many years.
