Austria,
Burgenland,
Very dark and youthful colour here. Dark purple core, still impenetrable. The nose is displaying quite sweet and ripe fruit, with mainly dark berries, plum, sweet spices, some liquorice, pepper. Slight hint of wood. Good grip on the palate, high concentration. In terms of fruitiness, it still appears rather youthful but I like that very ripe and dark fruit, but well-underlined by a fresh acidity. The tannins are already quite rounded. Finely grained, it has a good length, rather bold and opulent. Modern style but in terms of extraction and oak it is quite fine. Still appears a bit youthful. However, it does have the structure to develop. It should easily have the potential of six, seven, eight years. Even though it taste pretty well today.
