Germany,
Franken,
Youthful pale colour, pale straw with a green tinge. Appearing really youthful. Also the impression on the nose is youth and rather a stony and mineral expression. Good purity there, with some barely ripe yellow fruit I would say. Like stone fruit, pear, peach, lemon and grapefruit. Good grip on the palate. Medium weight, with good extract. Really bright acidity, so nice juicy and mouth-watering. It starts out quite austere. On the finish, more fruit is coming out. This is not the aromatic variety. Quite a different style from Riesling I would say, but nice barely ripe fruit there like pear, some of those zesty, citrusy notes. Good purity and intention. Good length as well Very youthful wine. This is certainly an example that should gain some more flesh and roundness from further cellaring. Nice result, but give more time in the cellar.
