Germany,
Franken,
Very pale colour, very youthful, with a pale straw nuance, a slight green hue. Aromatic grape variety. The nose is resembling fresh grapes, with some floral notes and some citrusy notes. Rather green fruit like apple, pear, melon. With a moderate level of ripeness. Light palate. Classically dry with medium towards high acidity. This has some gentle phenolic notes like crushed apple, then some slightly herbal notes on the finish. Medium length, a lighter style, so an aromatic variety. Quite light bodied. I don’t like to call a wine aperitif style, but I should say this to me is that light pleasurable aperitif style.
