Austria,
Niederosterreich,
Youthful quite pale colour intensity. Straw yellow, with a green hue. Very generous on the nose. Youthful and fresh fruit. Quite in the direction of greener with a gentle spiciness. There is ripe pear, some stone fruit, also with a herbal spiciness. And obviously I think there is a classic stony minerality in the background. No oak to talk about. Nice palate here. Much more roundness and bolder texture than the nose suggested. Ripe grapes, nice roundness, opulence. Slightly richer in fruitiness. Very much with sweet pear, but it is underlined by those zesty flavours of lemon and lime. Balanced acidity, but still the finish is quite fresh. I sense a high degree of ripeness here, the alcohol is probably exceeding 14. It doesn’t disturb me but it is just lush, bold and quite ripe. With a good length. Enjoyable today and should continue to develop for a few years.
