Austria,
Burgenland,
Medium towards deep, ruby-red colour. Youthful nose, with some ground pepper, some dried spices. Quite sweet and ripe fruit, with an emphasis on darker fruit. Slight hint of wood. Slight hint of leather, prune. Palate is on the fuller side as well, with a backbone of quite fine but still present tannin. Quite high acidity here. Fruitiness still feels quite youthful with fresh and dark fruit flavours. Mild spiciness with classic pepper, clove, ginger. With a medium towards long finish. It appears a bit youthful today. It is certainly a wine that should develop over the coming few years. It could certainly be drunk already today.
