Austria,
Burgenland,
Still a quite youthful colour, it still has some purple-blue. Medium towards quite high density. Very fine nose. I truly like the spiciness here, very Austrian spiciness, if I use that term again. With some pepper, ginger and clove, combining red and dark fruit. Good freshness, good purity of fruit, no noticeable oak. Very digest palate. I like this a lot. It does have a quite high level of concentration. It is still youthful. There is still a good presence of tannin, but they are ripe. There is a nice spiciness to it. The palate is really multi-layered with fine spices juicy and fresh dark fruit. Quite long and lingering, some aromatic herbs together with those dried spices on the finish. Very elegant and juicy fruit, good level of freshness. Fine example, I would happily drink today, but it should have the potential for six to eight years in a good cellar.
