Weingut Mad – Marienthal – 2018

Inky dark core and a purple hue. Rather youthful but layered notes of fine oak, butterscotch, peppery dark fruit and fine leather. The palate is nicely tuned, good volume and weight with fine polish and grainy tannin, a balancing acidity and rather ripe dark berry flavours, well integrated oak and a long finely spicy finish.
