Austria,
Burgenland,
Dark ruby-red colour, still youthful with a hint of purple. Fresh nose. Showing hints of sweet plum, with red and dark berries, a slight hint of leather, a sweet spiciness. No indication of oak. Good grip on the palate. Medium-bodied, really with an emphasis on primary fruit. Youthful tannin but not intrusive in anyway. So youthful tannin. There is some herbal spiciness, freshly ground pepper, attractive and juicy fruit, medium long finish. To me this is a very fine example of blaufrankisch Cuvée, made in a quite unoaked style. Subtle and rounded, with a good juiciness and drinkability to enjoy fairly young.
