Austria,
Steiermark,
Quite youthful appearance here. Medium deep, straw colour, bright. Very nice purity on the nose here. Floral, with more floral than herbal I would say. There is a good degree of ripeness, but it still stays within that lighter fruit, such as pear, with some gooseberry. A lot of zestiness, like lemon and lime. No indication of oak. Obviously Sauvignon with a good degree of ripeness. Good purity on the palate, good bite. Medium weight, but fine flavour intensity there. There is good extract. Really persistent flavour. It still appears very youthful but I like it, because it is classically bone-dry with a nice elevated acidity. Long and juicy and salivating finish. Quite delicious right now, but certainly with the potential for another five to eight years in a good cellar.
