Germany,
Wurttemberg,
Low colour intensity, medium deep ruby-red, but still appearing fairly youthful. Nice perfume on the nose, floral, with gentle spiciness, soft red fruit like plum and raspberry, indicating a certain sweetness. Ripe fruit, but no jamminess. I like the palate. It is very fruit forward. Not in a negative way, not in a simple way, but juicy fruit, soft and subtle texture, red berry fruit with a mild spiciness. There is no indication – well there is a slight hint of oak in the background, but not a lot of it. Soft and subtle tannin, good level of freshness. Medium towards long finish. Very enjoyable now, it will probably keep for a few years, but I find it attractive now, thanks to that upfront and juicy fruit.
