Dark colour turning from purple to red. Layered nose with red and dark berries, aniseed and liquorice, mild oak notes and tobacco leaf. The palate is ample with good volume, ripe berry flavours backed by a fresh acidity, youthful but ripe tannin, discreet oak in the background with some pepper, clove and cinnamon notes followed by a long vigorous finish.
