Altos de Rioja – Xaloki Alba – 2018

Inky dark purple core and hue. Ripe and intense but balanced nose with cassis, cherry, tapenade, pepper and some new oak. The palate is rather massive but with fine proportions, grainy tannin, balanced oak and layers of black fruit, mild spiciness of clove, pepper and liquorice and a very long and muscular finish.
