Rather deep ruby red colour. The nose is pure and intense, starting to show some maturity, truffle and dry spices with ripe dark berries, toasted oak and tobacco. Attractive palate. Dense and muscular showing a fine combination of youthful fruit and mature complexity, rigid but ripe tannins, layers of spicy dark fruit, some oak derived smoke and toast notes leading to a long finish.
