Dark ruby core with a purple hue. Youthful and spicy nose, leather, aniseed, clove and some wood with red berry fruit and plum. The palate is still on the youthful side with young tannin, a fresh acidity, fresh red fruit, and fairly long on the finish. Still needing some time to open.
