Portugal,
Peninsula de Setubal,
Youthful colour, medium-deep straw, still with a green hue, indicating youthfulness. The nose is quite expressive here. Rather intense, good purity of fruit here. No indication of oak, and a slightly tropical fruit character here with ripe yellow fruit, fresh pineapple, some grapefruit. Then there is also a slight hint of sweetness such as honey or wax. Some fresh herbs. So quite intense and alluring aroma. Good grip on the palate. What I think on the palate, this confirms the wine has a little bit of oak. There is a slight hint of toastiness on the palate, but also a spicy touch. Some white pepper, cinnamon. So quite exotic. Classically bone-dry, with a balanced acidity. Rather full-bodied style, but with a well-kept freshness and a quite long, warm aftertaste. It feels like a good degree of ripeness. I still think that the freshness and the zest of the fruit is well retained.
