Bright dark purple core and hue. The nose displays some new oak and butterscotch with floral violet notes, darker fruit like blackberry cassis and gingerbread spices. The palate is ample with good volume, modest extraction and ripe tannin, still rather present oak but finely tuned with pure and savoury fruit and a long finish, should benefit from further ageing to soften the oak.
