Inky dark purple core and a ruby rim. Some mature notes on the nose, dry spices, pepper, leather, aniseed, prune and sweet red fruit aromas. The palate is dense and warm with a fresh backbone, rich fruit with sweet plum, kirsch, garrigue and aniseed flavours, youthful texture with grippy but ripe tannin, and a long and muscular finish. A wine that still has plenty to come.
