France,
Bordeaux,
Medium deep colour intensity, ruby-red with a youthful, purple hue. Fine nose, quite elegant, with some floral notes, rose petal, violet. With cassis and some wild berry fruit. There is a discreet spiciness here. Quite fine oak, tobacco leaf, some cedar wood. Yeah, elegant again. Palate is very youthful, but already polished I would say. This is certainly a Bordeaux with a more Burgundian approach. I like the softness and subtleness, with elegant layers of red and dark fruit. Very mild spiciness, fine oak. Some hints of tobacco on the finish. Quite long even though the structure is more on the medium weight. Slightly lighter style but very approachable now. It should be quite drinkable in its early years, but I still do not doubt it will continue to develop. A very fine example for the vintage.
