France,
Bordeaux,
Red wine with a youthful, quite inky colour here, blue-purple core. Pure nose, showing very nice fruit, wild berries. There’s a slight mineral hint, some roasted notes; finely tuned, quite elegant. Palate has good density but a soft texture, so a great density of fruit here, dark purple plum, cassis, blackberry; but with quite soft tannin and a vibrant freshness. Still a bit youthful on the finish, but I still think it’s attractive, with modern ripe dark fruit, oak which is not too noticeable, just a slight hint of vanilla on the finish. Well-built, rather accessible today; I think a slight aeration would open it up, but doubtlessly it will evolve in the coming years and gain more complexity. Well-made, with a good purity of fruit and excellent freshness.
