Youthful purple hue and rather deep garnet red colour. Fragrant and pure with a fine herbaceous spiciness, bouquet garni, pepper and floral notes with crushed red and black currants. Medium weight but with dense fruit and a good bite, ripe but youthful tannins give lift and freshness, digest dark fruit with sage and bay leaf, followed by a long finish. Youthful but enjoyable, even better in 3-4 years.
