Malepère

France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Dense dark ruby core. Fragrant nose showing cassis and dark berries, with tobacco and graphite notes. The palate is ripe and ample with layers of dark fruit, relatively high tannin but no hard edges, fine oak, tobacco notes and a long warm finish. Still youthful but fine potential for development.
