France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Medium deep, ruby-red colour, with a youthful, purple hue. Intense nose. Generous ripeness here. Combining red and dark fruit. Very sweet plum. Almost with a hint of confiture. There is pepperiness, mild spices and a floral component as well. No noticeable oak on the nose. Palate has medium weight. Very attractive and rounded with juicy fruit, good ripeness, quite mild acidity. It is still balanced by fine grainy tannin. Good pepperiness. Quite integrated oak, just a hint of vanilla on the finish. Medium towards long. Very generous wine, with sweet ripe fruit. Fine pepperiness, should be able to develop over the coming four to five years, but pretty good already today.
