Gérard Bertrand – Château La Sauvageonne Wild Woman – 2014
Coteaux du Languedoc

France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Rosé wine with a quite light towards medium intensity, with a tinge of copper, and a watery rim. Sweet notes displaying some youthful fruity aromas, a hint of red berries, cherry, some vanilla. Palate is more on the lighter side, and there’s a good grip on the palate, bone-dry, with a medium-high acidity. We have some of those zesty notes; lemon, red cherry. Balanced alcohol. Quite discreet fruit, made in this lighter style more for aperitif, summer drinking. Not the biggest length or the highest complexity, but pleasurable. To enjoy in its youth.
