Very dark and inky colour here, impenetrable core. Black-purple hue. Very intense nose. High ripeness here. Generous amounts of oak. The fruitiness is more towards really black fruit, like plum, dates and figs. Almost reminiscent of slightly pork-like in its intensity and ripeness. There is fine spiciness beneath this with tobacco, liquorice, black pepper and fine toastiness. The palate is truly powerful, really bold and opulent. Here we can talk about modern style. There is generous amount of new oak. Layers of that very, dark ripe sweet fruit. Something smoky and meaty as well, almost like a hint of smoke and bacon. With delicious sweet fruit. It is obviously a wine with a high level of ripeness. It probably touches the direction of 15. I do not know. It does not really matter. I mean it is a wine that with this temperature or slightly lower temperature you do not really feel it. It is really embracing on the palate with layers of spicy dark fruit. Very long and bold finish. Still youthful and a bit wild but it should certainly calm down from a few years of ageing and gain some more roundness and complexity.
