Israel,
Galilée,
Red wine still very youthful in appearance, very dense ruby-purple core. High viscosity and concentration it seems. Youthful, but fine nose. Multi-layered here with fine notes of dark berries; like cassis and dark plum. A slight hint of aromatic herbs; like sage and bay leaf. No evident oak really. Very structured on the palate, still youthful and very concentrated fruit. Layers of dark berries like cassis, but also getting some freshness from those herbal components; like mint and sage. I think that the tannins are fairly well distributed, rather mellow today I would say. Acidity is also well integrated, adding freshness. It is also a rich and warm style of wine, but I think it is has a really nice balance. It also does have persistence, I think those fine tannins are contributing to the length. The only thing missing is probably a few years of ageing, because this is doubtlessly a wine that will continue to develop. But if you want to drink this today, I think it is already a nice mouthful of dark, fruity, cassis infused wine.
