Israel,
Ellah Valley,
Red wine with a deep ruby-red core, slightly lighter rim, but still appearing fairly young. Quite sweet nose, displaying sweet fruit flavours; like ripe plum, some freshly crushed berries and mild spices. No evidence of oak really. The palate is quite soft and plush, with that sweet ripe plummy fruit, good level of freshness. A slight tannic presence, but I think already fairly integrated here. No oak to talk about, so more what I would call a palate which is made for that quite early drinking. Rounded and juicy fruit, pretty attractive, with that mild spiciness; some notes of ginger, and clove on the finish. Medium weight, still youthful without complexity. Could be aged for a few years, but I think it is quite ready to drink today.
