Germany,
Rheingau,
Youthful colour, slightly green tinge, straw yellow. Fresh and youthful on the nose. Still a bit restrained with youthful fruit. Rather green apple, pear, citrus, lime, some herbal notes as well. And a slight mineral presence. Palate is rather light-bodied, it is marked by a certain sweetness. So Kabinett style I would say. However, on the finish it feels close to dry as it is really a high acid vintage. So really mouth-watering and juicy acidity there. Good balance for drinking now, in this off -dry style. Closer to dry, thanks to the acidity. Fruit is still youthful and restrained, as I said more on the green apple, pear, lime zest. I think it is well balanced and it has good flavour intensity. Although it is very light-bodied and the alcohol feels rather toned down as well. So fine result.
