Germany,
Rheingau,
Red wine with a quite low colour intensity, medium, light to a medium ruby core. A bit more age on the rim appearing tawny. Sweet perfume. Some floral notes, more on the red fruity side with the dried spices, hint of cedar wood, with some pepper, ginger and dried red berries. Palate has quite light structure, in terms of weight, still very youthful with a slight presence of tannin, but quite a high extraction and high acidity. Fruit is a bit more discreet on the palate. It appears like red cherry, cranberry, with that mild spiciness and a little hint of oak. The finish has a bit more than medium length. It appears a bit muted fruit on the finish as we have a presence of oak and tannin. Fairly elevated acidity. So I would say this is a wine that should really be put back in the cellar to gain some more harmony and roundness.
