Inky dark purple colour. Intense nose of roasted new oak, ripe dark fruit, some balsamic notes. Dense and concentrated palate, rather dominated by oak at present, sweet dark fruit, some balsamic notes and rather firm tannin on the finish, a bit on the extracted side now needing time to soften.
