Inky dark purple core and hue. The nose is youthful and meaty with smoked meat, mint, sage, ripe dark blackberry and plum, some new oak, pepper and vanilla. Very dense palate still youhful having more to deliver but nicely assembled with massive dark fruit, a bold spiciness, still present but balanced oak, ripe tannin and a fresh acidity giving lift to everything, a very long and vigorous finish. A big wine still needing time to open.
